Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken breast
  • 2 8 oz blocks cream cheese cubed
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp vinegar apple cider or white
  • 1 tbsp dried chives
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese shredded and separated
  • ¼ cup green onion

Directions

  1. Place the chicken breast in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with the seasonings. Pour in vinegar and add cream cheese on top.
  3. Cook the chicken for 3-4 hours on high or 6 hours on low, until chicken is thoroughly cooked and easy to shred.
  4. Shred with a fork and stir together. Add some of the cheese (leaving the rest for garnish).
  5. Top with green onions and extra red pepper flakes if desired.
